Invdev provides the technical leadership and skills to numerous UK Government departments and public sector bodies.
Our team was initially brought in to rescue the ‘data.gov.uk’ project with the Cabinet Office in 2009. Following on from that successful rescue project, we started working with senior technical architects across central government. We worked with the Home Office to deliver a Drupal-powered intranet on a SaaS basis, which was launched in 2012. This was one of the first cloud-provisioned enterprise solutions for central government at the time. We had to deliver this with the nominated infrastructure team, Foreign and Commonwealth Office Services (FCOS), as this predated the arrival of AWS UK regions for UK Gov. The Home Office has been our customer for more than 10 years.
After delivering the Home Office intranet, and providing live service support for it, our teams engaged HMRC in 2014. We delivered a Drupal intranet for HMRC, and in the process helped manage the migration of over 100k files and documents into their new intranet whilst maintaining critical data structures.
After gaining the Home Office, HMRC and DWP, we were delighted to work with the Department for Transport (DfT) to deliver their Drupal intranet, as well as win new work with numerous local authorities like Reading Borough Council, Bracknell Forest Council, Stevenage Borough Council, East Herts Council and the West Midlands Combined Authority.
Beyond the UK Government, the largest environmental NGO in America, the Sierra Club, chose our team after an international pitch. We delivered our Drupal intranet to Sierra Club hundreds of thousands of volunteer members, enabling them to authenticate via a Salesforce integration, built entirely by our teams.
